I got a bit of cash for the holidays, and have had a bit set aside, here is what I am thinking:

-Large Sebenza Insingo

-Spyderco Slysz Bowie

-Medford TFF or 187

Or maybe getting two of the following:

-Dpx Heat

-Boker Vox F3

-Protech TR-4

-Quartermaster Mr. Spicoli (First Quartermaster I like!)

Give me your thoughts!!! I can't choose!

My personal choice would probably be a lg Sebenza insingo.

If you're afraid you don't know I suggest lurking in the for sale subforum and try to get a good deal on one, that way if you don't like it you can turn around and sell or trade it for minimal loss.

I figured people would suggest the Sebenza... Maybe it's time I take the plunge! I'll follow up with what I end up ordering.

Nice choices! I too recommend the Sebenza, however, I have recently been intrigued with a couple of the Medford models, so if you go that route, please let me know what you think.

Good luck!

That would be my recommendation as well.

I'll most likely pick up a Sebenza... But I did pick up one of the 187's a month or so ago, the OD 187RMP and I LOVE it! I put my hands on all of the 187's before deciding, and while the one with the flipper is comfortable, the flipper sticks out way too far when the knife is closed, the DPT is like the one I bought but much longer, the handle isn't that ergonomic, but it is definitely larger (mostly longer) and I would still love to have that one, but settled on the smaller rmp just because it fit my hand so well.

Of all the knives you listed, I'd say go for the Sebenza. I've owned 6 CRK's and they never disappointed me. I really wanted to like the Medfords but I just couldn't. I'd rather have a Sebenza than a Medford any day.

Thanks for the help everyone! I figured everyone would go for the Sebenza, but I am glad that there were some advocates for the Sslyz...That one will definitely be considered down the road.

I went ahead with the Sebenza, (Large, with the Insingo Blade) As Moxy said...I was bound to get one eventually :P

Thanks everyone!!!!

There she is....And the Techno I traded for! Sorry about the odd purple tint my phone likes to add to each picture...

Pretty good holiday as far as I am concerned!

Sebenzas have become the benchmark for high end folder for a reason. I love mine. I just got a Medford 187 and a CRK Umnumzaan within the last few months. You'll be happy with either of them.

The Sebenza is really nice. It has a nice feel to it and I give it the thumbs up! Hope you like it :)

Got a Sebenza fan club here.
I say the same, can resell here for minimal loss if need.
I would go on to say get micarta as well.

You know, it's funny you should say that....I always (in my dreams that is) figured if I got a Sebenza I would get one with some awesome natural or clean looking inlays, I was always a fan of Micarta as well. But, having nothing to do with money/cost, I just sort of fell in love with those clean slates of glorious titanium, and felt like I had to have the plain one. I also bought a Medford 187 last month, so I think having a high end ti frame lock with both scales being titanium appealed to me as well.
