So as the title says I got a $150 amazon gift card and was looking for some help coming up with stuff to get (aside from knives). Ive been kicking around the idea of a kinda carry every where EDC bag with some essentials in it. Overall what are some cool items you know of or practical items for a college student that virtually lives in his car due to work and school.

I've been looking really hard at one of the new Zebralight flashlights. I want one of the AA models to replace my CR123 light in my bag.

Excellent! Good things? They seem to be one of the lesser known flashlight companies out there, but I've only heard good things about them as far as an EDC role goes.

A good pen. Not very many people think of it but a $10 pen is cheap, replaceable, and leaps and bounds from the crap most people use or give out. And a pack of gum is handy too.

Amazon sells everything, doesn't have the best price on everything, but it does on these.

Seiko SKN809: doesn't need batteries.

Casio DW290-!V: cheaper, more practical.

Nokia Lumia 521: best T-Mobile phone under $100.

Plantronics Explorer 370: Ruggedized, Military Spec 810 bluetooth headset.

Panasonic ES-LT41-K: transportable, shave in your car.

A decent pen as mentioned above.
A decent mechanical pencil

I know how that goes. :)

Make sure your car is in tip-top condition, and maybe spend the $$ on automotive necessities. Make sure there's a good jack, the spare is in tip-top condition, basic tools, tow strap, jumper cables...

Items for living in your car: tent, sleeping bag, blanket, good water jug, flashlight, camp stove, set of Rubbermaid dishes, supplementary spices and hot sauce.

Items for school: tablet or inexpensive laptop, corkscrew and bottle opener, cell phone, camera, calculator.

Shades, Watch, pen, flashlight, and I assume you already have a knife. If legal a CCW pistol can always help.

Bob if there is one thing im NOT worried about its my vehicle, unlike most people I know I keep up with all services and have fixed quite a few of the same cars in my time on this planet.

Addicted forgot to mention that the glock rides shotgun with me ;)

Sunwayman M11R or V11R and some batteries! Every man needs a flashlight as much as they need a knife:)

Maxpedition makes some nice little bags to fit some of your favourite EDC gear. They also have these great 'organisers' that lets you fit in knives, pens, flashlights, through loops. Like this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Maxpedition-K...591391&sr=8-11&keywords=maxpedition+organizer

Fill that bad boy with a nice Fisher space pen, a nice flashlight, buy yourself a good stormproof lighter, add in a waterproof notebook, toss in some spare band-aids and you're good. Great way to keep your EDC handy and able to fit into a larger bag.

Leatherman multitool of some kind. Spoon and fork multitool. Tritium keychain fob to help you find your stuff in the dark. Maxpedition micro wallet/bag to keep your important items in one place easily portable.

Most of these items are under 20 bucks online.
