Well, I'm gonna break down and carry a traditional folder along with my 889 and Wave. However, I need suggestions on what to get (obviously a Buck).
So without further adieu, here be the criteria:

1. able to be carried in a pocket with comfort
2. preferably wood handle but if it HAS to be stag or that's all it's made in then ok (no plastic)
3. a subdued, working look to it (i.e. not a 500 series; too shiny)
4. multi-blade not a requirement but definately a plus (especially with one of those sheepsfoot or wharncliffe blades LOVE those)

I'm willing to be flexible as I've not seen anything fit this criteria, but if anyone knows it's y'all. Thanks in advance!

Good Grief,,,,

Can't be only one!!!!!!!:D

Ya obliviously needs a:

172
174
179
A Sirus,
An Adrenalin Ti
and of course a 560
Ya might as well grab a 112 and a 110.... It will happen sooner or later.. lol

Oh... and there are others....:D

I know, I know,,,,wants wood handles.... Just expanding his horizons...lol

How about a 889LE??
Just nevermind the mirror polished blade :D
OR
Cabelas has a nice Tempest with Cherrywood inlays! Very nice looking knife!

personally i think you make a mistake by discounting the 500 series right off the bat
the 501 or 503 are probably some of the best pocket carry knives there are but if you need smaller then there is the 505 ,506 , 507 or the grandaddy 500
just because they look good doesnt mean they wont work and last while doing it
if you really dont like them then i agree on the 700 series or possibly the older 300 series with delrin or bone

I almost can't say it, but 20 years from now, a knife say like the China Redbone 372 Collectors Edition 2006, will be called a classic and people will be looking for one NIB and paying three or four times the current price.
I am starting to dip my toes in salt water just a tiny bit.

I guess Will is right, you might as well just jump in and for EDC get one of the China buck series. I will admit the 372, being a little shorter in length, fits in a jeans watch pocket better than the old 313. Did I really say that. :-{

If your willing to accept the "ole common black plastic" scale, then you just can't beat a 303. I watched my buddy gut a big cow elk with one in November.

Is there a pocket sheath like the one's for the William Henry I can get for a 300 series or 112? You know the one; clips on your pocket, the handle of the knife sticks out just a smidge, beautiful leather, etc.

Gary Graley(G2) does wonderful leather work has posted here and other places on BF...search his name, get his website and have look:D. Preston
