Hopefully there is someone on the forum that knows or remembers this knife!? It was my grandfathers and all I can tell you is its a Camillus. It has a regular blade for cutting then it has what I think was a sharp blade at one point although not sure if it was ever real sharp, and it can be used as a flat head screwdriver! This second blade also has an interesting feature that is very much like the liner locks of today! So maybe Camillus invented the liner lock and not Walker or Reeve? If anyone can fill me in on this knife that would be awesome! Like what year its from and so on? The blade has like a patina to it and I love the old used look of it!! My grandfather lived in Camillus and he was a knifenut. I inherited his collection. Probably 50 Camillus knives as well as old Bucks, Case and a few others! They re priceless and I love them! I have my grandpa to blame for my knife addiction!! Thanks!

The pattern is commonly referred to as the TL-29. This thread may be of interest to you.

Many of us here can attribute our interest in knives to our Grandfathers, myself included. I hope you enjoy his collection and even pick out at least a couple to use now and then as a way to remember him.

Search for "TL29" or "electrician's knife" in the Traditional forum and you'll find out all you ever wanted to know about it.;)

ETA: Oops, a little slow on the draw.

Just ordered a Klein that looks exactly like this knife!! I do carry some of my grandfathers knives sometimes! I almost made the mistake of polishing one up, then I remembered about old stuff/antiques and such that you shud just let them be! The beauty is in the age and the aged used look! Im gonna have to post more of my grandpas goodies!! This made my day! Thanks so much!

The second blade is definitely a flat head screwdriver but the edge on mine is very dull? Although I can see that at one point it had a sharp edge on it. Anyone know what year my knife might be from??

Got my Klein tools electricians knife yest. Says its made in the USA!? Chicago,USA is on the blade! It is similar to my old knife other than the sheepsfoot style blade and it has pretty cheap plastic scales that are supposed to imitate wood grain. Have no idea why this is called an electricians knife? I have done a lot of electrical work and dont see why this specific design would be beneficial? But overall, like everything that comes from Klein this is made very well and functions as its supposed to!

Basic tools for wiring: something to strip wire and a screwdriver to run screws in and out. The not-very-sharp edge on the screwdriver blade is intended as a wire stripper, supposedly it will cut the insulation without damaging the copper core. Sheepsfoot blade is selected for splitting Romex sheath without cutting the wires inside. The straight edge has less tendency to ride up out of the cut than a spearpoint, and the lack of a sharp point is supposed to make it safer to use.

Nice one! I have a Camillus TL-29 that's almost exactly like yours, and I use it all the time at work (marine electronics). Yours is especially cool, since it has family history. :)

Got one of those also from my Granpa. It's pretty old and pitted.

Check the Camillus Collector's Forum. I'm no expert, but it's my understanding that Camillus knives can be hard to accurately date. There's a thread in there about tang stamps that might give you a rough idea of when it was made.

Awesome thank you!! I wish my grandfather saved all his boxes and receipts!! That would have been killer!!
