So it is very likely my state, TN, will be removing the blade length restriction. I never expected this would happen so I have a collection of knives less than 4 inches. So help me list knives larger than 4 inches! I have a Spyderco Military and I want blades longer than that. NO CHINA, SOG or CRKT!

Spyderco:

Ulize
Police

Benchmade:

H-D LFK

Gerber:

Applegate-Fairbarn Folder (US made)

Off the top of my head.....

Spyderco Military.....lol to early in the morning for list, I'll try and think of some more!

Keep the suggestions coming! Really liking the Ti-lite. I will update the list after work, tonight.

Ontario Hossom Retribution might be, don't know if it is Taiwan or PRC

Edit: from Italy...which reminds me there are Fox and ER folders over 4"

Camillus CUDA MAXX and MADD MAXX. They have 5.5" and 7" blades respectively.

SOG Spec Elite 1. Smallest 4" blade I have ever seen. The blade to handle ratio is almost literally 1:1. For the price of it, it has made my list of favorite folders.

though the website says it is only 3.9", Coast Rapid response 3.9......... I measure 4.125"

Spyderco Szabo folder, Spyderco Catcherman, Benchmade LFK, AG Russell Large Folding Hunter, SOG Spec and Petangon Elite IIs, SOG Slim Jim XL, Ontario Hossom Retribution, Emerson Super Commander and Super Roadhouse, Ontario Hossom Retribution 1... etc, etc.

And of course Cold Steel has:

Voyager XL
Recon 1 XL
Talwar XL
Hold-Out XL
Espada Large and XL
Counter-Point XL
Ti-Lite 6-inch

Spyderco Szabo
Benchmade 741 Onslaught
Benchmade 630 Skirmish - This one may be a little hard to get a hold of
Benchmade 810 Contego - Right at 3.98" so... like right at 4.
Benchmade Bedlam is right about 4"
Benchmade 740 Dejavoo - Again, may be hard to find
Benchmade 760 LFTi

I may come back with more later.

And of course Cold Steel has:

Voyager XL
Recon 1 XL
Talwar XL
Hold-Out XL
Espada Large and XL
Counter-Point XL
Ti-Lite 6-inch

(Rajah 1-2 as well;-)

Also, here's an option from CRKT(made in Taiwan):Otanashi Noh Ken

Feeling lazy so I am just listing the knives I like, but I do appreciate all the wonderful suggestions. Not a CRKT or SOG fan. No offense to the people who listed those knives. I should have said that in my first post.

List so far:

Gerber:

Applegate-Fairbarn Folder (US made)

Spyderco:

Ulize
Police
Szabo (My poor wallet!)
Catcherman

Benchmade:

LFK
741 Onslaught
Bedlam (a little on the small side but I really like the design)

Cold Steel:

Pocket Bushman.
Voyager XL
Recon 1 XL
Talwar XL
Hold-Out XL
Espada Large and XL
Counter-Point XL
Ti-Lite 6-inch (Like it but I wouldn't carry a folder that large)
Rajah 1 and 2
Vaquero

Opinel:

#12 and 13

Sadly, Discontinued but still awesome:

Camillus CUDA MAXX and MADD MAXX

Sorry, this is Chinese:
"Coast Rapid response 3.9"

Nobody has mentioned the Cold Steel Spartan? Surprising, I hear thats a great blade, and its over 4"

Cold Steel:

Pocket Bushman.
Voyager XL
Recon 1 XL
Talwar XL
Hold-Out XL
Espada Large and XL
Counter-Point XL
Ti-Lite 6-inch (Like it but I wouldn't carry a folder that large)
Rajah 1 and 2
Vaquero

I'm fairly sure the Hold Out 1 is as big as the 6'' Ti-Lite, and the Rajah 1-2(1 is was a limited production, so if you find one of those it will cost you) and Espada XL are actually bigger, just FYI. Also, the Vaquero is now part of the Voyager lineup, though the biggest Voyager Vaquero is 5.5 inches, there's a discontinued Vaquero XL though with a 6 inch blade, if you can find one. And yeah, like the other guy said, check the Spartan and Kudu too, I forgot those were over 4 inches.

I know you said no Sog but you may wish to consider the Sog Spec Elite II or Pentagon Elite II.

These have the 5" VG-10 blades with Arc Lock. Very strong well made locks with super smooth deployment. When you put it all together perhaps one of Sog's best offering's. My personal experience with these models has been very positive.

Just food for thought.

However if you can find them the Benchmade Rukus and Skirmish are some of the best 4"+ knives you can get. At least in my opinion.
