My BF search didn't help.

Looking for smaller (under 7" or overall) fixed blades with egg-shaped handles. I know shivworks makes one, not what I"m looking for edge-wise and pricewise. Anybody have some suggestions, production or custom?

you might look at Ragnar's ragweed forge. Some of his scandihoovian knives might fit that description.

tops wolf pup?

How about the Cold Steel Desperado? That one has a very egg-shapped handle.

^ Awesome business sense. I guess labeling every image with "This knife made by TOPS, visit TOPSKNIVES.COM wouldn't have been enough.

+1 They are just losing customers doing that... If I could see the picture it might rise some interest on me... and I may go visit the webpage to see the specs. Now I am not doing so.

Hot linking images is actually not theft, because you are making the image public by putting it on the internet. The "theft" is in bandwidth because each time a person views this page, the Tops website is accessed, and that takes away a little bit of their bandwidth. By replacing the image with there little advertisement, they are using up exactly as much bandwidth, with less advertisement than if I could see one of their knives.

The Spyderco Cricket is "egg-shaped".

(Wow, that Tops Knives declaration stunned me when I opened this thread! As a writer, I am always aware of and concerned about copyright infringement - but putting that up is simply bad marketing and even worse PR! As someone already mentioned, a watermark would have done the same job, and might have resulted in an extra sale or two.)

Might a few politely worded emails to the "Contact" link on their website be in order from us?

(Edit: I'm not a lawyer, but does it not constitute "theft" only when it is used for commercial gain, ie. used in an ad or an eBay listing?)

I used to come down hard on people stealing my images. My issue was with them stealing without linking or crediting my site. I eventually realized that it was free advertisement and that I was being a dick about it. :/

(on my server)

Tops has a 3.5" blade "XL" wolf pup and a 2.5" regular. Sorry about that.

Atwood knives have an egg shape, but they are lanyard wrapped. If you got Peter or STR or Chaxknives to make scales for one of these little guys you'd have a smaller egg handled beauty.

The Kershaw ZT 0121 May not look exactly egg shaped, but when you hold one you get that same feel.

"... without linking or crediting my site.......free advertisement..."

Exactly. That's all it takes.

I'm editing my response to Tops Knives right now and sending it off. Talk about a bad PR move! :D )

(Sorry, I didn't see the line that states the OP is looking for a fixed blade)

One of Bud Nealy's knives has a handle that's sort of egg-shaped. I think it's the Amoeba.

I understand that to a point, but it seems misguided on their part because by hotlinking it, they get the the potential buyer to see their wares (advertising). Isn't that bandwidth that is used for this very purpose?
