Does any one know how long the CUTTING edge of an Uncle Henry Smokey Lockback Folding Pocket Knife. What caused this confusion is that at schrade.com they said it had an 2.8 inch blade but on the YouTube video also on the site, it said it had a 2.2 inch blade. I would also like to know the characteristics of Scharade's 7cr17 steel. Thank you.

Some people measure from the pin/pivot to the tip, other people measure from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade, and others measure the cutting edge. 7Cr steel is nothing special, not great it's equivalent (more or less) to AUS6. Much better steel available in the old USA made Schrade knives.
FOr the knife you are looking at, these are the specs I found:
SPECIFICATIONS
Blade Length: 1.5 inch (3.8 cm)
Handle Length: 2.2 inch (5.6 cm)
Overall Length: 3.8 inch (9.7 cm)
Weight: 0.06 lbs
U.P.C. 044356014090

Can you be more specific on what model you are getting? Is it the LB2, LB3?

the LB5

I can see conflicting details all over on blade length and the names of the folders on teh Schrade line. But, if you want to get a single blade lock back folder similar but better quality, look at the Buck 112. I cannot in good conscience recommend the new Schrade knives. The products from Buck would be a far better value in the long run.

Thank you. Ill check it out

You need to shop around. Buying directly from the manufacturer will always cost more, you are paying full price.
In terms of quality, you cannot compare a Taylor Brand Schrade knife made overseas to an American made Buck, or even the older US made Schrade. If you don't care about quality in any respect, then get the cheaper knife. Personally, I'd much rather have something like. Buck over the Taylor brand family.
