Is the case mako worth the money they charge or should I stick with the buck 110

I have owned both, and can say that either will serve you well. I loaned the Mako to a friend and he lost it, I'm sorry to say. For me personally, I edge toward the Buck. You can pick up a 110 for a reasonable price almost anywhere and I 'd give a nod toward the Bucks heat treatment of 420hc as being a bit better and maybe last a tad longer before sharpening. I did not replace the Mako and own 2 110's, one from the Custom Shop. If you can spare the cash, order one from the Custom Shop. If you are not prone to lose a knife, you will be pleased. But that's just my opinion, others should be respected as well.
I don't own either but have held them. To me the Buck feels a little better in hand due to being a little more rounder on the edges than the Mako, but I believe the Buck is heavier than the Mako. The Buck can probably be gotten a lot cheaper than the Mako.
Performance wise there isn't much difference. I agree with brownshoe and also think the 110 is more comfortable.
If you have a Case trapper for an EDC, try a Buck and you'll have two great brands. Down the road you might be able to get the mako too...
Sounds like my plan
