Help! Mini Barrage Took A Bath!

I accidentally left my Mini Barrage in my pants pocket when I gave them to my wife to wash. It went for a ride in the washer, and I want to make sure it's okay. It's starting to show some small rust spots (pictured below) so I've put some WD40 on the blade. The axis lock is a tad sticky (although not that bad) as well. I'm wondering what I can do to "stop the bleeding" and how much it'll cost to get it lubed back up again? Also, the blade could use a touch up as there's a small dent in on the cutting surface. Please let me know what I need to do!

Thanks,
David

I tend to wash all of my knives in dish soap and a scrubby brush. Hose it with WD then take an air compressor or canned air to it and get as much of the WD out as you can. Put your favorite lube on after that and call it good.

Or just send it to BM, and they'll take care of everything for you with only the cost of shipping it to Oregon.

Hi McSoappy,

Feel free to send it in as a part of your LifeSharp warranty. We'll take care of your Barrage for you! You can reference this link for everything you'll need to send in your knife. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

By any chance did you see my thread here:

Do you have any new blades that would fit it?

Thanks so much!
David

I've referenced one of engineers to see if they would know off hand if a 910 blade would fit a 970 handle. However, please correct me if I'm wrong in interpreting what you essentially are asking :-)

I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

With the 970 being such an old model it's hard to say since we don't have a physical sample or 3D models of the knife. As been informed though it's probably a slim to none chance that the blade would fit without significant modification. I hope that helps!

Yup, that's what I'm asking! :)

So that's the answer your engineers gave you?

It is... I would tend to agree as it would be tough to say with out a physical sample of a 970 examine.
