I bought a kizer g10 gemini off a member here for my wife. She likes it, but it doesn't flip worth beans. It only flips about halfway unless I give it a wrist flick. The blade cannot be shaken out, however, it takes almost no effort on the flipper tab to get it to snap partway open. Pivot isn't overtight either, if I compress the liner lock all the way, the blade swings freely. If I hold the knife straight up, closed, tip at the 6 o'clock position, and hit the flipper tab, the blade will open to the 9 or 10 o'clock position.
I took it apart, cleaned and lubed it, and it's not better. Any ideas how to make this thing flip better?
My best thought is to disassemble and bend the liner to give the detent some additional tension. Would that work?
