Hi, I have this 10 year old gore-tex parka that is now leaking. I learned of this while beachcombing for an hour in the rain. I'm pretty sure the seams are leaking, as there are no holes or tears. The only idea I have is to use tent seam sealer on the outside, which would look a bit ugly. To seal on the inside, I would need to take out the inner lining, which is too much work. Any other ideas for fixes?

Thanks in advance!

Hm, there are sprays which I have used quite effectively. I don't know what they're called in the US, but if you go to a Walmart of any outdoor store they should have some impregnating spray for gore-tex.

Keep in mind that the lifespan of the older generations of the gore-tex membrane was very short, so it could be the membrane itself leaking...

I have had excellent results with Nikwax brand products. TX Direct Wash In works well for your type of fabric.

Wash it, put it in the dryer on low heat to fluff it. Then coat it with a gore-tex spray and try it again.

Had the same problem w/ a set of Gore-tex rain gear. Apparently if you wash it w/ regular laundry detergent too often or it just gets dirty/oily over time it will leak a bit.
Picked up a bottle of Revivex cleaner and a bottle of Revivex spray from BassPro and it is good as new. Good luck.
