Hello guys... this is my first post in this sub-forum. I live outside US. My Sus Scrofa is on the way to my sister in NH. So I'm not even seen the actual knife. Anyone can help me point out who can make a leather sheath for it and in the same time sharpen it properly just in case the knife came dull? Thx guys. Cheers!

i dont know why it would be dull. ???

chuddybear has a template for leather sheaths. for kydex, you could send it to either bill siegle or tom krein, and they could sharpen it for you as well.

Welcome to the forum Frids!
You are going to love your Scrofa. One thing you needn't worry about is it coming dull. And be careful, they are known to bite.:D

What a fast response, thank's for the info. And on sharpness, it just a precaution, cause my sister know nothing about knives. I don't have a skill to sharpen a knife, yet. So I just hoping the knife is doesn't need any retouching. Thx again. And now I have a dream about BATAC and GW.... Sh*t.

I would recommend asking Amy-0 here about the factory edge quality. :D

However, perhaps they are now dulling the knives prior to shipping to keep Amy safe! :p

Frids,
Welcome to the madness that is Busse Knives  Also to the other phenomena known as being broke :foot: But a better time could not be had :D One other in addition to the ones already named is Dave Brown for kydex  Good Luck

I probably wanna try the kydex material, but for now I just think about leather sheath. It's kinda exotic. Cheers!

actually my scrofa came incredibly dull. i can draw it across the skin while applying pressure... doesn't come close to shaving either.

the thing is... i don't want to sharpen it in case i sell it later (so it stays 100% mint).

I would send it back to the shop in that case. They'll probably refund your shipping cost too.

I am a funny guy. But this quote doesn't seems funny to me. I want the knife useable and don't have any plan to re-sell it either.

Like I said earlier, this is my first post in this forum, so... forgive me if I looked funny to you guys:D. Cheers!

I will but right now I do not own a sharpener that suite best for this tipy of edge format. I heard that Spyderco sharpmaker will serve good. Cheers!
