I have a thing for really beefy looking knives that could be run over by a tank and still functional. Like the Benchmade 755 Mini Pocket Rocket Sibert design. I've seen quite a few customs like this, but does anyone know of any more besides this one that sorta have the same kind of beefiness? I have a couple Striders, but I really want to stay at $300, preferably less. $200 or less being even more ideal. I also like the "tactical" look. Can anyone help me out?

Check out cursader forge they have some great knives, like the FIFP(fear is for prey)
adn the VIS 01 T, and the METRO, theyre all basicly tanks.

my top 3 would have to be
Strider RCC. You can find these cheap
Benchmade Rukus. Perfect size and is a tank that carries very well in the pocket and cuts very nice
Benchmade Skirmish is a monster and and a heck of a blade. Even the mini is a good size knife. I would put the mini skirmish against anything the other major companies make

Where do you find the cheap RCC's at? I use to have the one from True North. Some exclusive with a reverse tanto blade. I should have kept it.

Cold Steel has some really beefy designs at affordable prices. Here is a review of the Spartan: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743179

The Kershaw Tyrade is a heavy duty knife at a steal price and the Zero Tolerance line has some great heavy duty knives.

I guess I should have explained this better.

You can find a RCC DGG for sale for $300 and less. I saw one that was $200 and took a while to sell. $300 for a full size strider folder (and their big) is a pretty good deal.
The tiny PT is $300.

Tank proof, for some reason the first thing I think of is something really light and flexible, with no liners.

That, or something really huge and tough.

I'll also put in a vote for the Zero Tolerence 300 series.

You guys are alot of help. I was just wanting 1 for now, but now you guys made it around 7 or 8. That video someone put up was definately a wicked knife, but I'm really wanting a folder, or maybe a small fixed blade...very cool knife though. I haven't seen the Cold Steel Spartan, but i'm about to go Google it, the Ontario, and the Jim Burke Mid Tech line. If I could find another Strider RCC for $275 or less i'd take it too. Geez guys, I wasn't expecting all these options...lol

Just checked those out. LOVE the Jim Burke knives...killer lookin w/ the blue titanium handles. Liked the Ontario xm 1 too, but after I got to looking at them, I found the xr 1 in bright (like neon) green that I liked even better. Cold Steel has alot too...not crazy about the look of the Spartan, but I saw another one I want from them...Rajah or something. I think it was like 13" long opened or something. Of all the knives you guys posted, my favorites so far were the Jim Burke mid tech's, Ontario XR 1, Crusader Forge (probably my favorite, but I haven't seen a price yet), ZT 300's....dang I really like all of them.
