There's a picture of a side opener Dalton that was posted on 12-27-1999 in the Auto Knife Forum by Senior member "The4th".The topic began "What's your favorite Dalton?" I want to acquire one of these & don't know what the model is called.(neither does "The4th") Can any Dalton expert tell me about this particular knife?

It looks like a tanto Gatekeeper to me.

Later,
John

P.S. Why diddn't you post this in the auto forum?

That's not a Gatekeeper. Here's a Gatekeeper:

I have seen one like the 4th's on Bladeauction recently. Sorry, I don't have the correct name, but there were a number of similar variants refered to as "Emerson Style" and SOGs.

Mark,

would you be interested in trading that for an MT LUDT? My E-mail address is in my profile.

Jeffa,

That's really tempting, but I have a LUDT and I really hate to put any holes in my Dalton collection that I have to fill back in later. I have the best luck finding older Daltons at gun shows. I will email you with another possible source in NC who frequents this forum.

Mark

Automantic/John, Yeah I thought about that too
then I figured it would get a lot more play here & I was asking anyone, not just autotrons.Anyway, can someone pin a name or model number on this unit? I feel that it's gonna be hard to buy one if I keep referring to this knife as a Dalton "whatchamacallit". Better yet, anyone have one of these "thing-a-ma-jigs" for sale? PS John, I was going to email you personally if I had no luck with the thread. Thanks for your input & ditto to Mark et. al.
