Hi, I know nothing about knives, the top brands, or even some of the cutlery lingo. What I do know is that the knife im using is old, worn down, heavy and becoming more and more useless.
I was looking for a lightweight, powerful multipurpose cleaver. I dont use any specialty knives or plan to in the near future. I was just looking for a cleaver that i could use to cut lettuce to slicing up a lobster.
8 inch would be preferable.. but not necessity
Ultimately, it comes down to the light and powerful aspect. Something powerful enough to cut down some of the harder things out there and something light enough for my wife to use as well..
And it doesnt have to be a cleaver, im just used to cleavers and know nothing else about other knives that might actually be better suited for a multifunctional knife.
ANY sort of help whether its the best brand, or best type of knife, or just price i should be looking at, or even store/website to buy it from would be most helpful
