Help! Need to go to the bahamas cheap...

Goal: cheap, fun summer vacation (1-2 wks)

Desires: nice beach, relatively comfortable accomodations, not too crowded

Location: anywhere that makes sense, was thinking the bahamas

Note: am taking a fairly girly girl; no sleeping on the beach


Hey guys,

I'm a poor college kid and would love to go with a friend on a fun summer vacation to a cool beach. Problem is, we can only spend about $1800 per person max (everything included). Also, she needs some comfort as far as accomodations. Is this possible? Any suggestions? Links?

Why Bahamas?

Why not somewhere further away like Bali? Although the flight is rather long you'd be visiting a whole different culture. A lot of americans already go to the Bahamas. Choose something different. It's cheap, people there are nice and the beaches are beautiful.

I've always liked promoting people to go to Asia.
