I´m in need of a new production dagger:). Have had my eyes on the Böker A-F dagger for a while and it looks like
a solid knife 440c blade and a nice kydex sheath. Now to my problem I have also taken a liking to the blackhawk uk-sfk.
Anyone that has handled both?.. advice? I know this is a dagger I´m looking for but I would like it to function as more then
a fighting blade...

Just curious, why dagger then? A dagger would be more inefficient at everyday tasks than a tanto. Also whats the legal situation regarding daggers up there in sweden? I haven't handled the two models you posted about, but cold steel's peacemaker is a solid dagger at about 100 usd with a vg1 san mai blade

You really shouldn't be looking at daggers if you have utility in mind. Daggers are almost exclusively for fighting purposes.

A conventional clip-point shape or something similar will serve you much better for anything that doesn't involve stabbing or slashing (e.g everyday cutting tasks). Not to mention potential issues with legality. A dagger in most cases will not be seen as anything more than a dedicated weapon and as such would probably be confiscated by a law enforcement officer.

I just like daggers :) that´s all and I know It´s not the best choice for everyday cutting chores.
The laws in sweden does not allow any knife to be carried any were.. with some exeptions:grumpy: As for the peacemaker, I allready have that knife and it´s a good knife indeed but I rekon it was time for someting new.

I agree with you about a small clip-point fixed blade like the fällkniven F1 for example. As for legal issues it doesn´t matter what you are carring in this fine
country as soon as you put a knife in your pocket you are risking everyting from jail time to having your gun licens revoked. That´s sweden for you

Hey Swedish Viking. Are you even allowed to import such knives though? Reason I ask is that I recently bought a Busse Hell Razor, I live in Denmark , and customs rejected it. It's on the way back to the seller in the USA, cannot beleive it...incredibly frustrating.

I haven't handled both, but I have both the Boker A-F with 6" blade & Kydex and the Boker A-F boot knife. The 6" is a very nicely-constructed knife, but the Kydex sheath could be better (doesn't release well), and both knives came quite dull (took me a long time to reprofile to 40 degrees). I don't care for the cross-section of the boot knife (concave back), and the kydex sheath is poorly executed (knife rattles, doesn't release well, and lousy craftsmanship). However, I will say the boot knife makes a pretty potent neck knife.
