They stopped producing the 863 in 1980, so it must be earlier. I wonder, if the "N.Y."- marking can help dating the knife...?Could be any time after the Walden era, so after 1973. Not sure about when they stopped using that stamp, probably in the '80s.

A few questions will be left unanswered, but the mist of the past can´t always be dispersedMy understanding is, that was the first stamp after the Schrade Walden stamp, but that very shortly they used the Schrade USA stamp without NY, and that they ran them concurrently for awhile, maybe a decade or so.
