Help needed in trade decision...

I was offered to trade this guy a yoyo worth about $60 for these 2 knives... he describes them as:
"The top one is a Rostfrei and the buttom is a Frost which is what who Parker
became in the 1980, Both Are in great shape!! "
So i don't really know what the values of these knives are at all, and whether i would be getting ripped off or not : ).. any help would be be greatly appreciated!-

Gibberish, those "rostrei's" go for about $10 on blade auction. The Frost is no longer made, but the condition is not all that great. By looking at the pictures, it's apparent that the knife doesn't lock up either open or closed. The blade has been sharpened a bit too. IMO, it's not worth $60 for the both of them. I think you'd get annoyed of the fact that it doesn't even work as well as your jag pretty quickly. Then again, some people will buy anything that's out of production. Frost doesn't put out the "creme de la creme" of bali's now or then. Just some my $0.02

Thanks... i kinda knew the rostfrei was crap, but thanks for the info about the frost... It helped a lot : )... i'll pass on the trade-

If I remember correctly,Frost & Parker were 2 seperate entities during the 80's.During that time,Parker was making some very good knives,but of different styles than Frost.
I used to have a Frost like the one in the photo,and if memory serves me well,those only sold for about $12.
Chances are,you'd have been ripped off.I'd say those two weren't even worth $25 together.

Well, I have a rostfrei that looks almost the same as the top one, and I can say that mine has major blade play, and I removed the latch pin with just two fingers...
But I still love the knife, because it's a great trainer, and I'm still waiting for one of the handles to go flying and hit me right in the face
