I begin jewellery courses this week and I would liked to
make some test and jewell from Damascus...

I was just wondering if any of you have some Damascus
cut-off or some small pieces too small for knives that he would like
to give ? (or sell it for a good price...)

Thanks for your help !

I don't have any good pieces at the moment. I cleaned up recentley. I have a couple of real rough stuff from 5 to 10 years ago very full of faults and flaws that I decided not to make knives from. only a couple inches long 1/2 in wide and 1/8 thick. Not much good for a blade . Sound any good to experiment on.(carbon steel) it will heat colour ok but will also rust.

If not what you wanted, and you need to buy some. Look up damasteel which is a brand of stainless steel damascus. It has local agents all over the world a list is on the main site. It may be better if skin is comming in contact.

Rust stains of your wifes best top / dress may get you killed.

damasteel is expensive by the metre but a couple of inches would have to be cheaper than a tank of petrol. That is probably only funny in my mind but I think it may be worth considering stainless.
