Hi all,
a few days ago I got this Schatt and Morgan as a very kind gift from a knifebuddy. Unfortunately he didn´t have any informations about it.
Its a 3.5" closed one blade knife with stag handles. I think it might be a serpentine from their gentleman series, but I only found those with two blades. It might be one of their latest ones.
So I would really appreciate it, if anybody could help me out with pattern number and any further informations.
Thanks!

That's beautiful!
It's from the Keystone series, that should narrow your search down.
There are real experts on Queen here that will be more help:thumbsup:

It is not an original Keystone series, but one made just before the closure when owned by Ken Daniels. Not sure of the model number.

Jeff is of course correct, the Keystone got put on everything in sight in the final years without regard to its suitability or not...The original Keystone was a series of knives from c.1990 to 2008 with a different set of patterns and scales for each year.

A number of 'odd' things occurred in the last years of production, parts knives, blades on unmarked steel and even a mixture of steels. I have one with carbon Master and stainless Minor;)

Your knife is Stag and the box may have some ID numbers.

I also think, it is from the latest period just before closure and it´s kind of: take, what´s left and make something ;).
And unfortunately there´s just a small mark on the box which says #2 or #7 (not quite sure) and that doesn´t seem right to me. And also yes, the steel is unmarked, also no numbers on the blade.

this is likely from the last batch of knives slapped together with remaining parts that were left in the bins. that being said, after reviewing a bunch of the models it actually doesnt match any of the listed models on a certain dealer's site.

Thanks for your help so far. Seems to be one of those Frankenknives :D (Put together from all kind of different knifeparts). Sad on the one hand, on the other hand it could be something more or less unique.

I have an old Frontier trapper that must have been one of the last ones as it has one n.s. bolster and one brass.--KV

like the closing of parker pens factory here in the US, and before, some times the "lunch room specials" become the more valuable ones ;)
