I just received my minty new Camillus Nickel-silver bolstered Riggers knife.
This is a tough workingmans knife and my favourite EDC.
The Marlinspike is a useful tool and I use it on a daily basis.
The sheepsfoot blade is practical and easy to keep as sharp as a razor.
I installed a pocket clip as I have lost a few of my favourite knives when they slip out of your pocket when you down in the forest.
One problem though - the marlinspike does not lock open.
My previous one locked up as tight as anything.
As this is not an expensive knife, I feel that it is hardly worth sending it all the way from Australia to Camillus.
I also cannot buy a replacement knife here in Australia.
It looks like the spikes notch is very shallow and rounded.
Has anyone perhaps had this problem?
Do you perhaps know of an easy way to fix it?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks.
Dirk
