Help! I need to mail a knife out on Saturday at the latest. I'm putting the finishing touches on a folder that has cocobolo scales and on Monday I sanded them to 600 grit, considered leaving it at that but decided a coat of Birchwood Casey TrueOil would be in order. That was Monday and they're still tacky! Will this stuff dry eventually! Should I try stripping the TrueOil off with turpentine or something? Help!

Tru Oil wont dry on oily woods like Cocobolo in my experiance. Rub it hard with a cotton cloth to remove and it will polish the wood at the same time. You can also use a bit of turpentine or even a light grease to help remove it.

Thanks Rob! Rubbing with a cloth worked like a charm. (You must have done this before!:D ) I was going to start in on it with turpentine but the plain cloth took the tacky off and polished it right up, just like you said. I'm back on schedule now!
