O. k. guys, I bougt a knife at the large four letter auctioneer
but the seller does not ship to Germany. Well, Decaf Dave handled
these things for me up to now but I think he has too much to do
with his new home. Also he's in the honeymoon. So I don't want
to ask him.

Would one of you be so kind to receive the knife and ship it to
Germany? The seller asked me to allow him to cancel the transaction.
But I want to get the knife ...

I would be glad if one of you relays the parcel to Berlin.
Send me a mail please. Thanks a lot!!

Haebbie

Haebbie, I'm in my phone right now and can't send a pm, I will be home in about an hour if you still need a hand.

I'll also be glad to help.

I'm still not sure if you ever received the knife I sent you two months ago. Hope you were able to connect with it.

Yes, Mark, the knife arrived. It was a bit difficult because of an incapable employee of our custom service.
But I sent you a mail. You did not receive it?

No….received no email, but glad to hear you have the knife. That one took about two months to get to you!!

Yes, that happens from time to time. A lot of parcels need more than six weeks. But sometimes I get one after one or two weeks. I don't know why there is such a big difference sometimes. I think it causes by the customs. Last time they sent a parcel back to sender without any reason. That's not to understand.

I am happy to forward to you in Germany or be of or any other service to you Haebbie. I just roasted some filberts and thought of you. I have the roasting down pat, yes, I am that good. I can see why this is Deutschland's favorite nut for snacks, salads, oatmeal and breads (had some in zucchini bread last night, oh boy). $4.50/lb over here and ready to roast.

Grebe (immature Red-necked Grebe, I think):

I can't eat the filberts, I am allergic to them :( but I use the wood. It is good for primitive bows.
I remember, it was the best cake in my youth. Enjoy them I would send you some kilograms
but it is not allowed to send food to the USA.

Herbert

P.S.: great pictures! what kind of Grebe is it?
