What is the best way to remove fine scratches, from nickel silver bolsters, to bring them back to like new condition?

Thanks for any info. anyone can provide.

Depending on how 'fine' the scratches are, polish may or may not fully remove them. If it doesn't quite get it done, the scratches may just be highlighted against the more polished nickel; if so, some high-grit sanding with wet/dry sandpaper should clean them up. Start at around ~ 800/1000 grit or so, then follow up through 1200/1500 and 2000. After that, finish off with the polishing paste (Simichrome, Flitz, Mother's Mag, etc) and buff it out.

Thank you Obsessed with Edges and doubleman.
I'll try the Simichrome first and see how they look.
Will try the sanding, if bolsters don't look the way I want them to.
Thanks again, it's appreciated.
Stay safe, birdave.

Just a heads up, if the blade pivot pins are hidden, don't "polish away" too much or you might reveal the pin. Go easy!

Thanks, rswanson.
They're not hidden on the knives I'm going to touch up.
However, that's a good thing to know...thank you.

Thanks everyone.
I buffed the bolsters with green buffing compound and 3M white buffing pads. Then I applied the Simichrome polish.
Bolsters look outstanding!
Thanks for weighing in doubleman, Obsessed with Edges and rswanson...your input was greatly appreciated and helpful.
Stay safe, birdave.
