HELP on a 106

I purchased a Buck 106 Recently All the axe says is BUCK USA when was the 106 stamp added to the tang markings and The Sheath has a 3/4 inch piece of leather missing from the stiching area does anybody have a sheath for sale or where is a good place to get it fixed. The axe does not look to have been used and the sheath is perfect except for that spot. Thanks for the help.

Hello Chief,
If you send me an email, I will send you a data sheet on all the 106 variations.
If the ax says BUCK, U.S.A. that means it is from before 1972, which is when we added the model number to our knives.
I don't know where you could find a sheath, hopefully someone can lead you to a good leathersmith.
