Help on customizing my Karambit...

Well, for as far back as I can remember....my grandfather has been putting a small notch or what is today called a "wave" on his carry blades. I have a few blades that have this so called "wave" feature, and yes....I could have purchased a karambit by Emerson or from some other makes. But the karambit I liked most was the karambit by Brous Blades. I am only looking to do this modification to MY KNIFE and to none other. The steel on the Brous karambit, just like every other Brous blade is D2. And as a right handed person, the clip is located on the wrong side. But I went ahead and took care of that and had one affixed to the other side. When I need to have it put on the left (weak) side...I can simply add it back on.

Well, tomorrow I will take my dremmel and go ahead and make the cut. I am going to post some pictures below of what I think I need to "take off" of my blade in order for the notch feature to work. I want to stress that I am doing this to MY personal knife. I read stories where people where doing this modification to other knives as a business. This is not the case. I am simply doing to my blade what my grandfather has been doing to his for many many many years. So please have a look at the pictures below. If you think I am not taking the right amount of metal off....perhaps too much, too little, wrong parts, whatever. PLEASE let me know. I was going to make the primary cuts with a dremel with that new super wheel that is 20X stronger than the fiber wheel made for hard metals. when it comes tome to round off edges, I was going to use 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper. I just don't want to take off more metal than what I have to. So below, you will find some proposed plans of what I need to take off. I will also include a blank pic....if you think you have a better idea, please....fill in what you think I should shave off so that it works right. Keep in mind, I am trying to remove as little metal as possible. Please let me know what you think. I really wish I could have just bought a Emerson or FOX (and I did), but I much much prefer the angle of the blade that the Brous version offers. Pics are attached below. If you have a better plan, please draw on the image and email it to me or post it back here, my email address is hangelikas@yahoo.com. Hope I posted this in the right section. Thank you fellas!!

This is my plan....

If you have a better one, please mark it up for me!!!!

This is one that has been done...but IMHO, I think a bit too much metal has been taken away.

This is just an opinion. What do you guys think? I don't think I need to remove this much metal to have it hook to my pocket or waistline.

Here is a finished product....I have seen other notch or what some call wave features on blades with a LOT LESS metal removed. What do you guys think? Is my original plan enough? Too much? I plan t round off the sharp corners when done....but like I said, this is a high quality knife and don't want to take more metal off than I need to. So please, help me out to the best of your ability. This is going to be my first attempt to doing this on my own, my grandfather did them to my other knives for me but with a file and his bare hands. I will be hurting BIG time if I ruin this knife. It cost me a small fortune. I have a FOX 599 and it's a great little "toy"....it's sharp and cuts well, but it feels small and weak. The Brouse fist perfectly in my hand and has the PERFECT 90 degree angle I want in a Karambit. Thanks again fellas!!!
