Hello,
I recently had my favorite knife "surrendered" to airport TSA and would like to get another but have forgotten the model of the knife. Hopefully you guys will be able to help.
The knife was about 4 inches long with staglon handles, carbon steel blades and the pattern number was something like #67 ,067 , any help would be appreciated.
Also is there any extra value to schrade knives etched with "first production run" ? What does this actually mean?

Thanks in advance

Brian

A 4" carbon steel/Delrin stockman could have been an 8OT. Knives etched "first production run" aren't Schrades. They are likely Chinese made knives being sold by Taylor Brands with the Schrade name stamped on them.

Brian, could you tell us: folding? fixed? how many blades, what kind of blades? If folding, is 4 inches the closed length? By "staglon" do you mean plastic that looks much like stag, or plastic that looks like "saw-cut" brown bone? Or another color? There are hundreds of pictures of Schrades on this site: http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/

Tongueriver,
The knife was a folder at least 2 blades maybe 3, carbon steel, approx 3-4 inches closed, brown colored stag/bone handles, regular schrade logo shield, not an Uncle Henry or Old Timer, if my memory serves me I thought the patter numbers were something like 67,
Any help would be appreciated, thanks for your reply

Brian

Brian, I don't recall any open stock knives with a 67 in them, there was an 861 though, which was a 4" serpentine stockman:

2 or perhaps 3 blades? Brown Bone/stag handles? Somewhere in between 3 or 4 inches long (that certainly narrows down the field)? A pattern number that does not exist? Maybe you ought to throw this over to the Levine Forum. Bernard likes guessing at incomplete information to identify knives. :D
