Help on value of 1987 110 Ducks Unlimited

I've got two 50th Anniversary Ducks Unlimited knives. One is a model 112 for Canada's DU 50th and the other is a 110 from, I presume, the U.S.'s DU 50th. I believe both were issued around 1987. Both are unused with the papers and felt molded box.

Blade's Guide to Knives & Their Values, is probably the best resource for an approximation on knife values. There are at least 3 groups of collectors that may be interested: 110 guys, 112 guys, and Ducks Unlimited collectors. The value is only what someone is willing to pay, when you want to sell. Ball park value..$50 to $125, I just bought a 1988 D.U. 112 for $60 yesterday, and it was for sale for months.

Thanks Scott. I completely understand and agree with the formula of value being equal to the desire of a given buyer. Since I didn't see any of these for sale on eBay I was curious if anyone had noticed any recent interest in them. And anyway, eBay isn't always a good litmus test for "value" for any number of reasons.

I'd guess that the lower end of your given range for these is probably closer to what I'd see in an eBay auction were I to sell them today.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond Scott.

I can tell you what the 110 went for in a shop here, price was $400 and i looked at it and when i came in the store an hour later it was gone.I don't know why it cost so much but the blade scrolls were awesomne!

Just won a DU 50 ann. 112 on the 'bay last week for $67.00 + postage.

IMO, I Think I got lucky.

These knives were made in huge volumes and are very common so the costs shown above are reasonable. The finger groove versions command a better price because so few gold etch FG knives were ever made.

Thanks Richard. That information helps explain the relatively low selling price - except for the more rare finger groove version.
