HELP-Please identify this Spyderco

I just bought a Spyderco and was wondering if
anyone could give me some insight. It says on the box: CX03S, Experimental 3, Dated 6/97.
It sure looks like a Calypso Jr. to me. Is this the prototype before the Calypso Jr?
Any help would be appreciated.
Walter

Walter - what you have is an early specimen of what came to be the Calypso Jr series. Spyderco made up some new designs, called Experimentals, without officially naming them or designating a SKU and put them out to test market them. Obviously, the Calypso Jr design was the one favored by most and therefore they were given the name and the SKU # (C52). Hope this helps.

Dexter,
Thanks for the information. That is what I thought it might be. One other question: Are they any more collectible? Should I keep this
one aside? I guess that's 2 questions.
Walter

Walter - I don't think it will be a collectable. The Experimentals were not marked in any special way to distinguish from the regular Calypso Jrs. Only thing distinguishing is the sticker on their boxes.
