I have returned a new 755 MPR in M390 that is a fine knife, but too wide for me to carry comfortably. I'm looking for a nice BenchMade knife in the $200-300 range. Want good blade steel (M390, CPM M4, D2 etc), 3-4" blade length.
I'm looking at 710's, but would this be your pick? Are there better options?
Thanks for your help.

Can't remember the blade steel but check out the Shoki in carbon fiber. Very classy EDC.

How 'bout a full size Griptilian with an M4 blade and custom black paper micarta scales?
How's that sound?

I generally just carry one of my ugly dirty black folders.

I did try to come up with a good gentleman's carry knife a few times. I first bought this A.G.Russell lockback with bone scales. It is a nice knife but a bit larger than what I would like for a knife of this type. I didn't mind the size so much, but that made it pretty heavy.

Then I bought this limited edition Benchmade, 690-01 I think.

Thanks again for the replies. M4 is a great steel. Also, the pix of that 690 is outstanding.

Have you consitered the 940 Osborne series? Great knives!
I saw one at a local gun show and there bigger than they look online,

The 581 Barrage is a pretty sweet knife in M390 but the handles are a bit chunky. Personally, I love the 950 Rift with the contrast G10 scales, unfortunately, it's in boring old 154CM, but I love that steel.

Someone else mentioned the Mini Onslaught limited edition. Mine's on its way in the mail! It's a D2 blade and there's a few of them still out there if you do a thorough search.

Actually, the knife was a gift from my son, so I won't ever sell it. Ethics and common sense jumped in changed my mind about exchanging it. But I'm still going to get a new EDC. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'll look at all of them before I decide.
