Does anyone have a BK2 GenII Sheath that They do not need or want? I am in need of a sheath for my BK2. I have just destroyed my old sheath making some modsand cracked the GenI sheath in half:mad:. Now I am sunk. Can anyone please help.:o
 
What is "cracked in half"? It could still be fix-able. Can you post pics?
 
I have that sheath, my micarta scales are too loose for it. The small strap needs to be re-attached, but it is like new. I don't need it, can't see using it, so you can have it.

Post up some pics, lemme see what you done. I gotcha covered, one way or another, but I wanna see it.

Hey OP, no worries, someone here will take care of you. I highly suggest you ahve Moose make you a leather sheath - mine (for a BK2) is just great, and makes the stock sheath look crappy. My $0.02.

I have the kabar gen 1 bk2 and the kydex sheath sucks.

I'm going to buy a Gen 2 BK2 just for the sheath. It can't hurt having a second BK2 on hand as well I guess....maybe I'll strip and micarta one.
 
Here is the photo of my sheath crack. I have beeen able to use epoxy to hold it together but it is not a perm fix. I was trying to make a thum ramp on the sheath. :o

I will one day make a leather sheath. But for know I need to do what I can until then. :o

looks like you took out the top rivets? can you replace them, say, with nuts and washer?

possibly also wrap the upper portion of the sheath with line nylon twine, soak some epoxy on that? mmm

i see new (and older model) sheaths on ePray; KaBar hopefully will sell you one if you give them a good story - i know they don't typically list sheaths as individual items, but they have some.

as well, a few wanted posted in the right forum; or buy an aftermarket one? many options :)
 
I did wrap the upper part of the sheath with Paracord. It's working fine for now. I will get better at working with Kydex. :D

I am better at working with leather so I am going to try my hand at making a leather sheath for my BK2. :D

I just love the learning process. :D

JG, if you are going to make your own sheath, gimme a holler if you need any help. I made a few and might be able to give you some pointers.
