That is a Knights of Tabor fraternal sword. These swords are typically non-functional dress items, although they can be sharpened and subjected to light use. Monetary value in that condition is low. Do you have the grip, hilt, and pommel?

no i dont but thanks for the info. The sword acualy belongs to a friend of mine and he ask me to find anything out about it. Can you tell me about when and where it was made?

Knights of Tabor were a branch of Prince Hall Freemasonry that was founded in 1872 to combat slavery, then had a resurgence in membership between 1938 and 1944 when this particular sword was likely made . . . although it is possible it could be as old as from the 1890s. Prince Hall Masons were predominantly Black Protestants and Knights of Tabor were most active in Missouri and Mississippi.

Blade is in poor condition and lacks hilt, grip, and pommel. Scabbard looks to be in fair to good condition. A collector of Masonic swords or African American historical items might offer you twenty bucks for it, tops. No real monetary value to this item, although it is not a commonly seen sword.
