Hi guys,
I found an old hatchet in our garage that was apparently my grandfathers. I want to put a new handle on it and start using it again. the problem is i don't know how to go about finding a handle that will fit it. The blade just says handyman on it, and it looks allot like this:

anyone know what size/kind of handle would fit this? It doesn't have to be the same handle..id actually like a little longer if possible.

Well those are commonly called a "half hatchet". If the bit is off the handle, you could just take it to the local Sears or Hardware store they usually have a selection of replacement handles in stock.

Kind of reminds me of rigging axe that I used to frame houses with. Might be able find a handle that fits or one thats close and whittle it to shape.
