Hey guys, a friend of ours passed away and left a knife and sword collection to his wife, I’m helping her sell them. All the knives were quality brands and easy for me to research and sell on eBay. The swords are not easy at all. One of them is a Bob Engnath.
Another one I listed on eBay before I found this forum, and it has two days of bidding left. Is it acceptable for me to post a photo here and/or a link to the eBay listing to draw more attention to it?
The blade has Japanese text on it below the handle and according to the translation I received it was likely made in Manchuria during the Japanese occupation of WWII.
Thank you.

You cannot post links to active ebay auctions; nor should you be discussing your sales as a registered member
(The no links to auctions applies to everybody. On this site, one has to have a Gold membership (or higher) in order to sell...without that membership, it is inappropriate to discuss what you are selling elsewhere).
You can, however, ask for information about items (excluding values, per above). Most use the Bernard Levine subforum for that. Best of luck!

Ok thank you for the detailed explanation, I’ll try to get some information without mentioning pricing or auctions.

You might try contacting Ed, a forum member here, at Yakiba.com for evaluation and he also offers consignment through his site.
He's based in Louisiana so might be unavailable for a few days due to the recent hurricane.

Thank you for the reply. The owner of these swords has located a file with some information on them, I’m going through it now trying to match paperwork with swords. I’ll follow your advice after I’ve done all I can with this information.

Thanks Lee.
Yes Walter, I have been unavailable due to the ravages of Hurricane Laura. No electricity, cable, or internet. All has been restored now, so feel free to email me anytime.
