I own a hefty d2 steel knife that has an ok edge on it, but was curious if anyone here does professional sharpening as a service? Considering the thickness and angle of the grind of the knife, I want to have someone with the knowhow and tools to put at least an edge that will cut a lot better than what it has currently. Think maybe factory KABAR USMC knife sharpness if that's possible.

Is there anyone on here who has been sent knives, is reputable, and rated highly for challenging knives?

It measures about 5/16 an inch thick, its over 1/4" thick for sure.

Anyone do this professionally? I am willing to pay some money.

There are a number of highly respected professional sharpeners who frequent this forum and are paid Craftsman/Service provider members.

Josh at Razor Edge Knives (http://www.razoredgeknives.com/) - @razor-edge-knives seems to be universally respected and recommended, not to take anything away from the others here. Just the first name that comes to mind.

Also, @Jason B. - his contact information is in his user profile: https://www.bladeforums.com/members/jason-b.204457/ on the Information tab.
