I don't know much about standard pocket knives. I usually carry large tactical (hate that word):) knives with pocket clips. I would like to find a small pocket knife. Something I could use for everyday tasks. I would like it to be smaller than 3 inches closed. I would like atleast two blades, no more than three. I prefer carbon steel over stainless. Don't really care too much about handle material (except mother of pearl = don't like that). Price, well since it will be a "user" under $100.00 (on-line prices)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Also consider Schrade Old Timer series, well made, not expensive, delrin handles, steel is 1095 (some models, stamped "Schrade+" are 440A), I really like their stockman patterns.

Well, I decided on a Schatt & Morgan whittler with a Wharncliffe blade. It's not as small I wanted, but I did some searches on the forums and I got the impression that they make a great knife. Thanks for the suggestions.
