So I got my first INFI knife today. A scrapper 5 le and it has a nice kydex sheath but It has nothing on it for me to attach to my belt at the moment. I was wondering what you guys may suggest I can do. Ive seen something about tek-loks on kydex before but where can I get one and how do I attach it. Could I get some leather and maybe attach it with some sort of bolt/nut configuration or rivet it on???

heres some pics of what I'm working with.

Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to share knowledge and suggestions. Sorry for the horrible pics.

Hope I posted this in the correct thread as I didn't see one specifically for scrapyard.IMAG1001.jpgIMAG1008.jpgIMAG1007.jpg

To me, it almost looks like the sheath was designed to be a slightly angled right handed horizontal carry. As far as options go, I use a large Tek Lok for the one I carry every day. It's about 2" wide and will support a belt up to 2 1/4" wide. There are three rows of three holes with centers about 3/4" apart from center to center. The Tek Lok could be mounted for either vertical or horizontal carry. Alternatively, I have seen Malice Clips drilled out to support the larger hardware and used in the same fashion. If you're feeling crafty, you could probably make a MOLLE back or drop loop to attach to the sheath. The last thing I can think of would be to use paracord and some ALICE clips. I've used that method for a knife before, and it served a lot better than I thought it would.

As far as attaching things to the sheath, might I recommend that you use some type of fastener that you can remove (i.e. chicago screws) if you want to change the way the sheath can be carried.

I have used Tek-Loks and Alice clips. They are fine. I have also made my own from 1/8" lexan and corbys with Chicago screws. You just need to make sure to match whatever system you try to your existing holes in the sheath and your preferred belt. Good luck.

I really like the horizontal carry and Ill keep all this in mind. Thanks guys.

Large Tek-lock goes from pack to belt as desired. Can go horizontal if you can get two screw holes to line up, not necessary to use 4 screws to attach the lock to kydex. There is flexibility and some "adjust-ability" to fit belts of different widths, etc.

Cool thanks Need2Know. I need to get me a pack like that for when I go camping this year.
