Hey guys, I've just bought a stack of this wonderful stuff from a great supplier with no weld grinder plans, called "Boltoron". Apparently it is another better alternative to kydex, which is supposed to be a bit tougher and actually pick up a bit more detail in the moulding both of which I beleive it does quite well. What is driving me insane is the fact that when you put it in the oven it curls, or want's to roll up in a tube, which makes it REALLY hard to work with. This stuff apperas to have a grain, some pieces roll others less so depending on which direction I cut the sheet, but none stay flat. My question is am I doing something wrong or is there some trick I don't know about? I've tried both lower and higher temps than kydex, as soon as it softens it rolls up. My main concern is that when it comes to mouling throats and clips and such this stuff wont just heat and go soft like kydex it will roll and bend and form it's own retarded shape unless secured by a die. So unless someone knows a trick I'm missing, I would say this stuff is crap stick to genuine Kydex. I'll be fighting with this stuff again today and will keep you posted.

Can't help, but Spyderco uses Boltaron on its sheaths. There is some info. out there if you Google it, but use an "a" in your spelling.
