Hello Striderfans,
would ask a help to find decision if i should grab the chance and buy a New unused Strider orange Ceracote Sng Model or not.
I seen the green and brown Ceracote models are not that popular ( as i feel ) .

Orange is a more prefered color . What are the experiences with Ceracote Models ( does the bladecolortreatment resist a daily normal use ?) or is there a fast rubb off ?

The seller ask 800 USD for the orange ceraote model. Is that a reasonable price that will weight the worth of that model if i keep it as a collectible without use?

What do you think. Are these hard to find ones and is a price of 800 usd okay or not ?
Thanks in advance.
J.

Awesome knife, but 800 is entirely too high for a cerakoted production SnG. I wouldn't pay more than 550 for that and that's even high IMO. You can get full cerakoted SMFs for 550 and that's a lot more knife. I understand it's not the orange exclusive, but still that's too high

Many thanks for taking time to share your thoughts. I like the orange handle models and a full orange ceracote would be a nice add as well. I know normally orange Models are little more expensive as the standarts.
BTW: is there also a smf in full ceracote orange ever made`as well?

800 is highway robbery. Paying that price only serves to support this price gouging nonsense that goes on. I was in GP knives last weekend and I was told that they have the orange scales made and are now awaiting the knives to be made/ delivered. I don't know if they will be ceracoted too or just orange scales....I'm not really interested in orange knives so I didn't press the issue and inquire any more. But from what I gather there are more of these on the way...I'd give GP knives a call to confirm the validity of my statements.

Hey and best greets ,
thanks very much for your statements. I would be very glad if you can keep me posted about your feedback on GPknives,,,, that would be great. I believe your pretty right , i felt 550 to 600 Bucks would be okay but 800 is kinda overbuilt. ...

No problem. Definitely don't buy that knife though. Tell that guy selling it he's an idiot. I wish they had orange SMFs! I am not much an SnG guy but I do like the orange. I'll snag one when gpknives has them in stock
