Hi, I have been searching all over the place for the perfect giant (5 inch) tanto folding knife.

The CS voyager though seems to be turning up as a "one of a kind"

This is definitely a very tough knife with a generous blade thickness. But the AUS8 seems to be a bit soft when compared to the high carbon models tempered to HRc 62 and up (not sure of the AUS8 hardness)

I have a 4 inch model, and want to buy the larger 5 inch model.

First as a little bit of a "last ditch effort", I want to check and see if there are any possibilities to get a 5 inch tanto folding knife with high carbon, san mai or damascus steel such as seen with the Seki Cut:

I wonder what it might cost to have a custom model of the CS 5" tanto with high carbon or san mai?

Thank you for your suggestions in advance and have a wonderful day :)

Thank you for the post, its such a beautiful knife.

I wish I could afford one.

Edit: Update, the first place I looked was arizonacustomknives.com over $2000. Other places its about 1/10th the price but out of stock. Are there different versions of this knife?

Yes, there is a custom version, and a production version of the Roadhouse.
Having a custom knife made may be expensive, it might be cheaper to get a production Super Roadhouse. :)
Good luck on your search.

talk to Peter R here on the forum and see what he can do for you. he loves his big folders. it might cost less than you think.

(( rules violation ))

Unfortunately Peter R doesn't sell his folders any more (I contacted him).

Is there anyone else who might be willing to make this at a reasonable price? (I know some pay over $1000 for custom work, out of my price range)

How does the Roadhouse compare with the Benchmade 760?
