Good Morning,
here are some photos of my new Spyderco Military, bought on Amazon.it and arrived today. I have some doubts about its authenticity because the box has arrived in poor condition and lacked even the paper of authenticity. I can also produce pictures of the box if necessary, but now do not have it on hand. Give me a hand to understand better? Thank you very much .

Many Spydercos I've bought from Amazon came with trashed, taped together boxes.

I'm pretty sure that Militaries do not come with paperwork, others will verify.

Based on the pictures I found on the net the knife seems original . The only thing I'm not convinced this is a small area near the riscasso . Is not sharp . It looks bigger than normal , measuring about 1.5 mm ... Is normal??

Thats a normal thing, they are not all sharpened consistently. You could take the knife apart and look on the blade tang, it has a month and year date of when the knife was made but you have to take it apart to even see it. Also the g10 texture is a big indicator, if its nice and grippy then its real, the fakes (or any chinese g10 to my knowledge) is much more smooth.

I have also recently gone through this and have a few points to check.

1. Box had same font as other Spydercos
2. Foam had usual gap
3. G10 was grippy like my PM2's
4. Choil grind is straight like shown above
5. When closed the choil area G10 is flush with the blade meaning the spine of the blade is ever so slightly recessed when open
6. Liner lock is matte titanium, sort of natural matte finish
7. Curve of the blade is consistent with another Millie

I took mine apart and looked at all the machining surfaces with an expert, could only find things that could be typical variation.
It has the numbers on the blade, did not know they were a date code though.

One big question I have is the use of RED thread locker. I have seen a sort of blue used on others and this is the only thing I can find different.
Is this a problem?

I have never seen blue thread locker on a spyderco that I can recall, only red. I have 2 millies one I got off the auction site was not assuredly authentic although I was told it came from BHQ from the seller. It worried me because the finish looked more like titanium nitride than dlc and the letters on the blade were more bold, I found out that the reason for that is that it was made 8-10 as indicated on the blade tang, they have has slight changes since then. It didnt have a box to compare model numbers but thats a very good way of identifying the fakes. Look on aliexpress.com (I hate to mention this rip off site but its in the interest of information) so you can compare the numbers of the fakes vs the real ones on spydercos website.

Based on the wording in the original post, what is the chance that this person works for the company that makes the fakes?

no chance ! I'm Italian and I do not produce knives ! Use the google translator ... probably harms my English :-D I had my doubts about the authenticity of my knife , so I asked . I do not think the producers of fake wasting their time on the forums asking if their product is valid . They just sell it !

In any case, I checked the thread lock and actually is blue ... But i can see the date indicated on the blade tang... Strange :(

PS:
That or Italian is their first language...

First and only :-P

My brand new delica had blue thread lock. Spyderco sent me blue thread lock to attach a new clip to a Matriarch.

We had another Military on hand and it had blue thread lock.

Hence this is my only point I need clarification on.
