HELP! Trying to find a specific knife...

So, short back story.
Growing up my father always had this knife on him. I'd like to say it was German made.
The blade came directly out of the front and from the rear a spike could be dropped out and then locked into place. (It did not lock automatically but was almost like a gravity knife)
20 years ago we went tubing and it fell from his pocket into the river and we never saw it again.
Does anyone have an idea as to what knife I'm speaking about?
He was just married and I'd like to surprise him with a replacement.
 
I think I found what you’re talking about, though I can’t seem to upload the picture of it. Google “WW2 German Gravity Knife”. There’s a picture of one with a spike on the bottom like you said.

So it is VERY similar to these with the exception that the spike portion does not fold out, it ALSO is controlled with a locking mechanism. It slides out like the blade does.
