Help uploading an image.

I have been offline for a while and have forgotten how to use Imgur. When i bring up the photo i want to post, then press BB code for forums and message boards, then copy, nothing happens. That is how i thought i used to do it, but i am obviously doing something wrong. Any ideas, greatly appreciated.
 
After you hit copy are you then pasting it into your post here?

Thanks for your reply, obviously not in answer to your question. How do i do that, i cannot remember. Old age has it's disadvantages, and forgetting how to do things unless you do them on a regular basis is one of them. Thanks, and you and your family have a good 4th. of July weekend if you celebrate it.
 
Assuming you’re using a mouse click the right button after you copy the link and it will paste it. Or you can also hit control V and that will paste it

I'm doing something wrong, that does not work. Thanks for your help, i will try and work it out.
 
Technically, you wouldn't be "uploading", i.e. transferring a file from one location to another, but "linking" to allow it to be viewed while it remains where it is.

Press the button circled in green, then paste the link in the field.

Thanks for your input. If i do that a insert URL link comes up. Never had to do that in the past. There is something preventing me from adding photo's to my post. I am doing exactly what i used to do. Something is stopping them from being pasted, what i do not know. Anyway thanks for your help, and you have a good weekend, and look after yourself if you are going out for July 4.

I ignore the functionality for generating BBCode and just:
  1. Right click the image on Imgur and choose "Open image in new tab"
  2. Copy the URL for the new tab manually (highlight it in the address bar, Ctrl-C)
  3. Paste (Ctrl-V) that URL into my post here between two IMG tags
IMG tags look like this, you just type them in:

Code: 
[img]URL GOES HERE[/img]

Thanks, finally worked out what i was doing wrong, i was right clicking in the wrong place. You were right all along, i'm the idiot. Thanks a lot, you have a good rest of the weekend, and hope your celebrations are not to restricted due to lockdown rules.:thumbsup:
