We went and got a rescue kitty today from the local humane society and we can't decide on a name for him! They named him Zeke but I'm not sure if I like that name or not. He's hard to get a picture of because he don't hold still for long but he is about 10 months old or so.

We thought about Bandit and Butler but neither one really feels like him when we say it out loud.

He looks like "Suspicious cat" embodied. I'd call him Suspicious.

Zeke is a fine name. Keep it. It's not like the cat will give a damn what you name it....

While you're busy thinking of a name for your new cat,he's trying to decide what to name you.:D

You got him from a shelter, right?

Call him Gimme....

We call our cat, "kitty-cat". Ya need two before you need actual names.

Clyde.
What do I win?

OR
Don Quixote de la Mancha... call him Mancha for short....

OR
Who threw up on the back of the couch? Barfalomew for short...

LOL at figuring out what to name us. My wife already decided that she liked Zeke and just wants to keep that name but I've been calling him Gizmo. He does look a little shady or mad in that picture but that's not how he normally looks. He actually has a very sweet personality and is very good with our 1 year old son. She had been begging to get another cat as our current one is on his way out because his kidneys are shutting down and has some other digestive issues. I was against it at first but then figured this will give me some fuel for the next knife I want to buy. :)

If you look in the very back right corner of the picture you'll see our other cat back there. He is the one that is not happy about this whole replacement cat thing. He has been hissing and glaring at the new guy all day long. He has been an only cat for 14 years so he isn't very thrilled right now.

"Tuxedo". :)

It probably sounds silly, but I had a black & white cat twenty years ago, and he was named "Merlin" by his previous owner. I never really liked that name, and one night my roommate commented that he always looked dressed up, like he had a tuxedo on. His color pattern was almost perfectly symmetrical on either side, and he even has a small black spot on his throat that could be the bowtie. From that night on, we called him "Tux".

Give it some time, and a great name will come to you.

B&W as in Black and White. Bee for short. The colour of Ontario Provincial Police cruisers, as in "There's a black & white on your tail" Also like Tux.

Well we both agreed we like the name Jackson or Jax for short. It came about because the other night he was like sliding across the floor while playing with a toy and it looked really weird almost like he was moon walking. Plus he's black faded into white just like Michael... :)

I am not a cat person. The only cat I ever really grew attached to, was an old mean queen of a cat. His name was Onyx, and I think I liked him because he chased the neighborhood cats off. My uncle had a cat named Zeke, he was a good cat that lived to a ripe old age. Zeke is a fine name. Mongo is right, the cat won't care. Just don't call them late to dinner.

Jax will tell you when it is time for dinner. Congratulations on the naming of the baby Jax!

"Stains"

It will be great fun when you try to call him in fron of company....think about it....

-X :D
