As some of you know, I (this post is from Marc) work as a partner in Fiddleback Outpost, but I also maintain Andy's Fiddleback Forge website (with assistance from David at the the shop), handle some of their marketing, social media stuff, etc. One topic that comes back up every now and then is keeping the Fiddleback Forge website up-to-date. This is especially true lately as Andy has been on a rampage knocking out new designs all over the place. I received a request from someone regarding the website, letting me know that the Bushcraft Sr. wasn't on the site I was thinking that is just the tip of the iceberg.
I would like to pull in some help here from the community in two areas 1) identifying content updates that are needed for the website and 2) getting some of that content directly from the members here.
While we have a couple of great bloggers (Kevin Estella and Brain Griffin) that do killer blogs for the site, the product information has fallen behind. We don't have all of the knife models on the site that we see recurring in the Fiddleback Fridays here. We also don't always have great photos of the knives and, if there is one thing we see over and over again, people love taking great pictures of their FF knives. There is also likely stuff beyond knife models that needs updating on the site and sometimes that is best identified by a new set of eyes.
So I'm asking anyone/everyone to respond to this thread with their thoughts as to what needs to be updated on the site and, if it is photo related and you have photos you're willing to let Andy use on the site, please share them with us. Ultimately we'll run everything past David at the shop to make sure that everything is copacetic, mix in some of Phill's great photos at the shop, etc. and then get the site updated.
So everything is game - typos, missing knife models, missing option pricing, etc. Let us know your thoughts on getting the site up-to-date!
