to be honest i am a die hard spyderco fan, and have been mainly buying there product for the last year or so. but i have recently become interested in push knives/daggers. I just ordered a cold steel urban pal to use as a neck knife, mainly a backup to my custom Dodo w/ lanyard spike. But i just heard that benchmade made a backup neck knife/push dagger?? Could someone tell me more about this knife? thanks for the help.

It's available to everybody. I bought one.

Nice little toy, but if I rely on it and end up having to use it, I'll probably get hassled over carrying a push dagger. If I use a more utilitarian knife, in self-defense, I'll get much less of an argument over why I was carrying it.

The Benchmade is OK, but you will probably want to put handle scales or cord wrap on that skeleton handle. The design is almost the same otherwise as the Mercworx Seraphym, a double chisel grind.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the belt clip is clever. You can reset it for left or right or up, down, or sideways. You can remove it altogether and wear the sheath on a neck cord or put a strap through it, like for on your arm.
