I think this is my first post here in the G & G forum, but I've certainly benefitted from the posts I've read here so I thought I'd give it a try. ;)

I'm considering selling a Tudor Submariner and am having a hard time figuring out it's value. I've done some searching on the 'net, but I've seen widely differing amounts for what seem like similar watches.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a place I can go to get a fair idea of it's value? I purchased it new in 1992 and have worn it on and off since. It is in good condition, but shows signs of wear, especially in the bracelet.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried any of the various Rolex forums?
You might also take your watch to an authorized Rolex dealer, maybe even ask for a written appraisal if necessary. It may be money well spent....
Let us know how the sale turns out!
Good luck!!

ExMachina, I actually had a guy tell me that one time! I was thinking of selling it at a church related event and a big, gruff guy picked it up looked at it and said it was a "pice of ****" and tossed it back on the table. If I wasn't at church at the time I would have gone off on him. Oh well. His loss. :)

Thanks for your replies guys!

Tudor Subs seem to sell between $900-$1100.00/1200.00 These are for the full size 39/40mm models. There was a mid size version around 36mm and a small Mini Sub version. If you have the box and papers and the watch is excellent/nm condition you'd be closer to the ceiling. This is the verson of the Tudor Sub with the shield logo not the older version with the Rose.

To get a good gauge of market prices, do a completed items search on ebay for Tudor Submariner. But of course, there are a fair number of fakes on the bay but it does give a rough idea of market price.
