Hey there guys,

I have a mate who bought a mini mojo from another fella over here in Australia, but he can't figure out how to use the speed safe.

I had a look and it has this black "lock" on the flipper, and it only moves a tiny bit, like less than a millimeter. The flipper doesn't budge, and I cannot find any help regarding this.

the instructions are not very clear, and he's going bonkers trying to do it.

Anyone here shed some light on this please?

Cheers guys

Put your finger vertical in front of the flipper and pull back in an slight arcing motion (almost pulling straight back). Your finger should engage the safety first then the flipper in one motion. It should be a smooth operation once you get the hang of it. I am currently EDCing one and it is second nature after a bit.

Here's a solution...tell him to center his flipper finger directly over the black tang of the safety, then pull straight back. His flipper finger should not be centered on the spine, but rather off center, to the right of center. If he tries to apply pressure on the flipper tang itself without first moving the safety, it won't open. He should be able to put slight pressure on the safety, and actually see it move before the flipper starts to move. This should do it...if not, let me know and I'll make arrangements to do a You Tube or something showing how it's done.

The Mojo/Mojito's integral safety is very neat!
