Greetings, I'm new here. My apologies for any breach of etiquette on using these boards. My father recently passed. In handling estate matters, I came across two interesting looking knives that might be custom work. I "assemble" knives myself-meaning I put knives together as a hobby-minus making the blade itself. Fixed blade, Scandinavian style knives are what I like to work on. Anyways...One blade is marked "CE PRATT", the other "Cantini-Weirton W VA".

The Cantini is a fixed drop point shaped blade of about 3.5 inches with a full tang enclosed in blonde colored scales. It has a thick hilt, red/black fibre spacers, 2 large silver pins and an etched eagle on the handle material.

The Pratt is also a fixed blade. Blade length of about 6 inches. Looks like a wicked elongated, thinner take on a bowie shape. Scales look like stained tiger maple attached with 2 brass/silver pins and are outlined with a spacer.

Google searches haven't turned up much on Cantini, but do suggest that a Charles Pratt may have assembled the larger blade. Any information about the makers of these blades and whether or not they might be custom work would be appreciated. I'd post a picture, but it doesn't look like I'm allowed to based on the posting permissions listed at the bottom of my screen.
